We parents want to see our sons walk strong, prepared, confident, and dynamic out into the world, yet our modern culture lacks opportunities for the expansive experiences that provide lessons they need to become truly whole in this constricting society. I am a mother of two bright adolescent sons, wife to my devoted husband, and caretaker to my disabled veteran father. My appreciation and curiosity for masculine development has led me to seek out resources, ritual, and community. I found the inspiration and tools to build this supportive experience, providing guidance and acknowledgment as our youth cross the threshold from adolescence into healthy manhood.

We are fortunate to live in Santa Fe, immersed in a community of conscious parents seeking ways to heal, grow, and integrate with nature. Our family celebrates the earth and moon cycles and the sacred spaces in between. I find that my family and community shine as we gather to honor the wonder of our reality and recognize the seasons, the directions, and the elements. The lesson we find in our kinship with Earth is a visceral awareness, a connection to peace, and the sense of belonging.

This camp has materialized around me. The pieces, places, and exceptional guides knocked on my door almost the moment I asked for them. This shows me that the need for this camp at the present moment is great. Its purpose to provide an environment for expansion in the adolescent youth of our community is an opportunity for our culture to take a meaningful step into aliveness and wholeness. It is designed by me and my dedicated team with careful consideration in this first year to be safe, extraordinary, and fun.

I am an artist, healer, nurturer, gardener, and busy-worker wearing more hats still as I answer this calling. This work to honor an ancient rite of passage for our boys has brought me tremendous joy, and I am confident that the boys who find themselves at this camp will experience the rare opportunity to peek into the vast depths of their soul. They will plant their roots into the elements and go forth in life connected to the wild network of our planet's truth.
